Survey update

I have updated the survey download to also include the survey block, which I forgot to update. You figure that since there is a lot of duplicated code over multiple areas that we would be able to consolidate it into one general file, but I guess it’s up to the original programmer as to how compact the code should really be. For more details, see my article here.

PHPNuke Annoyances

Posted by on Nov 29, 2003 in Nick Notes | 0 comments

I spent some decent time in front of the computer this morning and can now show something for my effort. I have opened a new section on the website, labelled Articles. Currently, there is only one section, called PHPNuke Annoyances. My current project is to detail all the fixes and background things that I do to get my website to work better and more efficiently. Hopefully, others who run websites like mine will find the information and fixes helpful. If you run a Nuked site, check it out and let me know if you have any suggestions you would like me to research. PHPNuke is a decent software package, but after using it for about a year, it does have its quirks. I hope to help iron those out for the Nuke community.

However, if you think that your skills are good enough to do something destructive, why not try your hand at doing something constructive instead? Sometimes those projects are more challenging. Just my two cents.

More Nuked Sites…

I feel great because over the past few weeks, I have succeeded in converting two of my friends to being Nukers. (For those who don’t know, it’s the underlying code that runs this website.)

I helped my friend, Missy get a version of PHPNuke up and running on her site, although the domain has yet to be transferred, and my other friend, George, who is running Postnuke on his site. Good job, guys. Welcome to the group!
